Adventure is out there, and so is your next closet staple. Known for their lux formalwear, Canali teams up with 8ON8 to fuse their heritages into one. The collection, titled Canali Travels With 8ON8, includes the traditional tailoring Canali is known for, and the futuristic yet contemporary aesthetic of 8ON8. It is centered on the theme of travel, in order to open the ideas of new possibilities, discovery and renewal to both of their audiences. But most of all, the collection is about a journey between two cultures, and combining each brand’s styles together. 

Canali Travels With 8ON8 consists of 11 different looks, all of which are filled with lux fabrics such as wool and silk. From cozy knitwear, polos and hoodies, the collection meshes formalwear with sportswear for the everyday traveler. On par with the traveling theme is the collection’s color palette, which is filled with earthy neutrals and touches of mossy green and vibrant blue. Even the multi-colored silk pajama tops and low-top sneakers fit into this color scheme, but remain as the central pieces of the collection. Most of these items are oversized, relaxed fits, and have a contemporary twist to their tailoring. 

Other standout features of the collection are the Chinese-inspired prints, shooting stars and boat images that are on almost every garment. The collection also includes accessories, such as baseball caps with the Canali Travels With 8ON8 logo and embroidered leather messenger bags, that are just as memorable as the clothing. One design on the messenger bag and clothing involves the Cafra Cat traveling through vast mountains and rivers, in order to present “a rich visual narrative of Chinese and Italian cultural interplay.’’ 

“For me, this capsule is a collection of inspirations from a Chinese fashion perspective, with a free individual attitude and youthful power to interpret fine tailoring menswear into a contemporary perspective,’’ said Gong Li, designer and director of 8ON8.
