Not long after debuting a rather on-trend mullet on social media, fans found out the true reasoning behind Australian pop singer Troye Sivan’s divisive hair decision. Sivan has teamed up with country royalty Kacey Musgraves and musician and producer Mark Ronson on a remix of the song “Easy,” complete with a lively music video.

Originally appearing on Sivan’s In a Dream EP back in August, dream pop song “Easy” has its own music video, a lonelier video that sort of sums up how we all felt after a few months of quarantine. The remix music video brings us back to reality before lockdown, appearing as an ode to late night drives and dancing nightlife.

Directed by Bardia Zeinali, the Nashville-set video further explores the art of Troye Sivan’s mullet, with Musgraves’ soft but powerful vocals joining him for this nighttime journey.

Sivan’s stylish mullet features shocks of green, this vintage style reflected in his red and white striped vest and denim while Kacey Musgraves dons an oversized fur coat and glittery eyeshadow. The team crafts a believable world within this music video, the slightly dingy motel room and local bar telling a story of escape and adventure in this small town setting.
