Get Ready For Red Bull Estados Unidos de Bass
Stream all the sounds of Latin music this December.
Next month, Red Bull will be hosting a virtual music festival highlighting Latin sounds across the country. Red Bull Estados Unidos de Bass will showcase Latinx talent across five major U.S. cities: Austin, Los Angeles, Miami, New York, and San Francisco. The livestream series is an offshoot of the brand’s 2019 Red Bull Presents event that highlighted Latin-inspired American bass music in Miami.
This year, key performers include Sky Rompiendo, Kali Uchis, Ovy On The Drums, and Maceo Plex. They, along with at least 30 other artists, will perform over the first three weekends in December. Two cities will be represented each day, with four hours of content available. Lineups will go live before each weekend’s action. You can tune in through Red Bull Radio on Mixcloud.
Sky Rompiendo, Happy Colors, SpydaT.E.K, Hype Turner and Clips X Ahoy are all return acts from the 2019 Red Bull Estados Unidos de Bass event, which featured 14 sets across two stages. In 2020, the action has been dialed up with a wide variety of genres and representation from the East, South, and West. Also returning from last year is producer Frank ‘El Medico’ Rodriguez, this time as co-curator.
To promote the event, Red Bull commissioned Latinx artists from each region: Milkman from the West Coast, KneetoFace aka Danielle Estefan on the East Coast, and Julian Duron in the South. The event artwork was creatively directed by muralist Austin “Jiminai” Cashell while Ivana Cruz created stylized artist portraits.
