Get Street Smart with P.E Nation x ASICS

The perfect multitasking sneakers for an urban wardrobe? The ASICS GEL-1130 x P.E Nation.

P.E Nation and ASICS teamed up to create a retro-inspired performance running shoe collection, a collection which ultimately encompasses the distinct styles of each brand.

The result of the partnership is the ASICS GEL-1130 x P.E Nation, fusing ASICS technical engineering with P.E Nation’s classic retro-sport look. The sleek, streetwear-inspired shoes come in two distinct colorways, cream/black and cream/paperbag.

The cream/black design is a vibrant reimagining of ASICS’s iconic GEL-1130, with a neutral base layer topped with fluorescent pops of yellow and pink. The shoes are dual-branded, with P.E Nation’s logo on the upper. The shoes are also highly functional, with a retro gorpcore detail and rivet rigging designed for both hiking and running. The shoes also have a pull-tab at the back, a first for the 1130 style and a distinctive element of the partnership.

The second shoe in the collection is an exclusive, available only via P.E and ASICS direct channels. The cream/paperbag shoe speaks to the versatility of P.E’s statement silhouettes and has a more refined, textural finish. Elements of wide mesh layered with smoke-cloud PU, along with the new pull-tab feature, set this iteration of the 1130 apart.

In all, the collection pays homage to both ASICS heritage as a technical brand and the origins of streetwear, with the shoes designed to move seamlessly from the gym to the streets. “ASICS x P.E Nation brings that street-sport flavor to a technical running shoe, so you have that best of both worlds team-up: premium performance capability layered with retro-sport expression delivered through the P.E lens,” said Edwards and Tregoning.
