Ahh, who doesn’t love fashion week when it hits Paris? The frenzy, the fans, and the many celebrities who hop on a plane and get together to witness the magic of the collections—it all just hits better in the city of lights. With Dior’s Autumn/Winter 2024 show debuting yesterday, it was an alignment of true star power sitting front row: Jennifer Lawrence, JISOO, Rosalia, and interior designer and bonafide style star Kelly Wearstler who just so happened to take V along for the ride, giving us a peek into her show ready process.

“Maria Grazia’s Dior woman is feminine but not girly. I appreciate that Maria Grazia looks to the archive for inspiration and then brings a new, modern, empowering perspective to the collection,” she tells V. “There is refined tension in what she puts forth for the house. I incorporate a similar tension in both my personal style and my design work.” Discover Kelly’s full diary, below!

The Dior team always takes such incredible care of me. There was such a warm welcome upon arriving at the hotel, with the most beautiful and thoughtful gestures. When I’m in Paris for fashion week, I stay at Le Meurice from the Dorchester Collection. The hotel is quintessentially Parisian. C’est comme chez moi loin de chez moi.

My glam team was incredibly talented. Liselotte van Saratloos did my makeup with a palette from Dior Beauty that was feminine and fresh. The product is incredibly luxurious. I loved the Dior Rosy Glow and Rouge Dior Lipstick—it all wore so light.

I like to take my time getting ready. I am all about the details, so I ensure that I block off plenty of time in my calendar so I never feel rushed.

We created a classic cat eyeliner with a little more of an edge, which felt so Parsian and chic, and Christopher Naselli styled my hair loose with its natural curl.

My look for the show perfectly encapsulated Maria Grazia’s Dior woman: feminine and ladylike, but powerful and with an edge. I combined two looks from the Spring-Summer 2024 collection.

This look was all about variation, so the accessories included classic slingback pumps, a tweed bag, and black leather biker gloves. I also wore a mix of stacked jewelry with black enamel Zodiac motifs as well as sharp architectural gold pieces with pearl accents. All of these elements really brought it to life.

There were so many rich textures at play in my outfit, from the lace bodysuit and mesh skirt to the white shirting and python-embossed trench coat. There was uniformity in the color palette and silhouettes but great depth created by nuanced contrasts.

I’ve amassed a pretty great collection of Dior handbags over the past few years. Their Large Book Tote is really my daily go-to for work. The Miss Dior Top Handle bag I took with me to the show can feel almost rock ’n‘ roll if styled with the right elements.

Arriving at the venue is always exciting. I know that I’m about to be transported. This season Maria Grazia commissioned Indian artist Shakuntala Kulkarni to create sculptures inspired by archival ensembles, set within a space that recalled traditional Eastern architecture.

I deeply relate to Maria Grazia’s sense of independence. Her collection for Fall 2024 was confident, wearable, and unapologetically feminist.
