Shane Michael Boose—better known by his stage name Sombr—was born and raised in Manhattan’s Lower East Side. Surrounded by music from a young age, he built a makeshift recording studio in his bedroom, a passion project funded through a summer job scooping ice cream. While enrolled as a vocal major at LaGuardia High School, he dropped out during his junior year in 2022 after releasing the emotionally raw single “Caroline,” which quickly amassed popularity online.
Sombr officially debuted in October of 2021 with “Nothing Left to Say” and followed up with his breakthrough EP “In Another Life” in September of 2023, co-produced by Tony Berg and released through his imprint SMB in partnership with Warner Records. In 2025, his singles “Back to Friends” and “Undressed” exploded on TikTok, fueling global chart success. As of June 2025, each track exceeded 100 million streams on Spotify, and Sombr launched his first international tour covering North America, Europe, Australia, and New Zealand. His music is often described as a blend of indie rock and alternative pop, channeling heartfelt lyricism and intimate production that resonates deeply with Gen Z listeners.
The former skater boy turned indie rockstar attended the Saint Laurent Menswear Spring/Summer 2026 show on June 24th at the Bourse de Commerce in Paris. Seated in the front row among other notable faces, Sombr was dressed head-to-toe in the classic elegance of sleek black Saint Laurent. He wore a tailored black suit paired with a black shirt and complemented it with dark sunglasses and black shoes, honoring the theme of the show where Fire Island meets Paris, escape becomes elegance, and desire becomes language.
Now we get to see how he simply suited his way up.

“Moisturizing.”

“Look at the outfit.”

“The shirt.”

“Ready to go.”

“Going.”

“Getting in the car.”

“Arrived.”

“At the show.”

“The after party.”
