There was a constellation of stars from all walks of life who attended last evening’s Met Gala fundraising event, held in support of The Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute in New York City. Amongst the many A-list celebrities, all who paid homage to the late and great Karl Lagerfeld (of whom the museum’s latest show-stopping exhibition is based on this year), you would have found American footballer Stefon Diggs.
Adding a much-needed dose of elegance to the evening’s dizzying array of buzz-worthy looks, the wide receiver joined forces with designer Tommy Hilfiger to create a custom look that echoed the many codes of Lagerfeld while also staying true to the rising fashion star’s flair for style. Ahead of his Met Gala debut, VMAN tagged along as the athlete got ready and gave us the ultimate peek into his getting ready process.
