Gia Coppola directs “Applaud,” a video for Yves Tumor’s latest single with New Orleans artist Hirakish as a guest vocalist and L.A.-based Napolitan as a producer. It’s all about the kind of love pulls itself apart to eventually become whole: “I’m just a rock and roll baby / Coming with my rock and roll lady / Top-shelf, driving me crazy / Like a Mercedes.”

To the sinister beats and underlying sounds of a broken machine, the hypnotizing darkness brings the viewer on a trip to the world of Yves Tumor: the world spinning, the room swarming with psychedelic disco lights. One can almost feel the smoke and breathe through the muggy, dense air in the room. Are we in a beach house somewhere in Miami? Or is this a seaside strip club? We couldn’t really tell, but we’re into it.

The French interlude makes the whole adventure even further into the burlesque world. See it for yourself now:
