Giambattista Valli remains consistent with where the brand has developed high familiarity in the industry as you can point out their classic tulle explosion from a mile away and know exactly where it’s from. It brings a sense of comfort to know what you will receive from a brand especially if it is dramatic and amusing. You might think it’s the same old thing but it is rather an established signature with cheerful energy. 

Valli stuck with his usual palette of tender pinks, dreamy baby blues, and vibrant greens. Out of Valli’s usual elements of campy ginormous bows, puffiness, and endless layers of fabric and tulle of course. High-low dresses have been seen before in past collections but are much more apparent this time around for fullness and sticking to drama but allowing freedom with legs being showcased so as to not sink into the gowns. 

The collection is also decades inspired as the gowns have references to ‘50s through ‘80s style shapes with butt capes, cinched waists, full ruching, tulle petticoats, and ‘80s mermaid gowns are a keynote. 

The fashion house creates three looks that change up the collection keeping their signature of long draped silk that leads into a train with crystal mesh jumpsuits. The rose quartz, pyrite, and chrysolite jumpsuits give the illusion of dripping continuous crystals. Perfect for a statement look for red carpets around the corner.
