Gina Schock: Made in Hollywood

A tapestry of backstage, tour bus, in the studio, and on the road photos invites us into the unique perspective of the beloved drummer.

From one of the most revolutionary female rock bands, drummer Gina Schock from the Go-Gos gives us the book “Made in Hollywood: All Access with the Go-Gos.” The book is a visual 40-year blast through the past of the band’s wildest journeys, iconic punk clubs, and stardom. Schock, as the self-appointed Go-Gos archivist, unveils behind the scenes images of the women who perfected pop punk. A tapestry of backstage, tour bus, in the studio, and on the road photos invites us into the unique perspective of the beloved drummer.

Launching October 26th, Schock will host a series of in-person and virtual book events, accompanied by various friends and guests along the way. The events will take place in bookstores through New York, New Jersey, Southern California, and San Francisco. Just before the Go-Go’s Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony, bandmates Belinda Carlisle and Kathy Valentine will join Schock for an exclusive Q&A session at the Rock Hall.

About the book, Schock says, “I’ve always loved photography, so taking photos of the band was a natural process. When you check out this book, I hope you feel like you were right there with me over the last forty years. From Baltimore to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, what a trip this has been. I am thrilled to finally share my personal collection with everyone.”
