The Industry is in mourning following the news that Giorgio Armani (VMAN 52 cover star), founder and creative force of the Armani Group, has passed away in Milan at the age of 91. The company confirmed that Mr. Armani, affectionately known as Il Signor Armani, died peacefully surrounded by loved ones on September 4, 2025.

For over five decades, Armani shaped modern elegance with a clarity of vision that expanded far beyond fashion. His precise tailoring and timeless style redefined how the world dressed, from the runways of Milan to Hollywood red carpets and global boardrooms.
