Giorgio Armani’s SS21 menswear collection is a synthesis of past and present designs. The soft fabric and neutral color collection, Timeless Thoughts, arrives alongside a short documentary chronicling Armani’s rich history and dedication to change. 

Over 30 different menswear looks are included in Armani’s Timeless Thoughts collection. The majority of pieces for SS21 are stained with greyish blue tones that embrace simplicity while a handful of looks incorporate sophisticated-floral and relaxed-spring designs.

Armani’s short documentary, narrated by Italian actor Pierfrancesco Favino, echoes the brand’s SS21 collection and explores its long standing relationship with time and simplistic elegance. The film brings viewers behind the scenes footage of Armani’s past shoots and more recent runway shows. 

“…fashion is a reflection of our time, it has the ability to anticipate the future, the changing and the evolution of our society,” Favino narrates. “In Giorgio Armani’s work, this ability to read the present combines with the power to synthesize a mark that leaves its sign with determination.”

Modeled with no undershirt, this entire menswear-dress redefines formal wear. A casual but elegant feel, the look is made up of a two piece suit jacket, relaxed dress trousers and paired with brown oxfords and loafers with chunky soles. A feather-like design of blue, grey and white tones makes for a subtle but inviting pattern, while the trouser compliment with a faded neutral tone.

Other looks in the collection embrace earlier 21st century feel, lifting them with soft and neutral colorways. In this look, the casual formal wear prevails with no etched design elements. Instead, the piece is complemented by suede accessories such as the fanny pack, handbag, and casual take on dress footwear.
