Giorgio Armani Creates Timeless Beauty in Fall/Winter 22-23 Collection
New haute couture collection exudes extravagance, elegance, and power
Pétillant. Sparkling. The name of Giorgio Armani Privé Fall/Winter 2022-2023 Collection embodied the haute couture runway show just as expected, dazzling with the 1920’s air of its muse Tamara de Lempicka. Like the Polish art deco artist, the collection represented feminine power and brilliance with striking silhouettes, bold colors, and the instantly recognizable 20s finger wave bang.
With the allure of Lempicka, the collection commenced with straight silhouettes and linear cuts— beaded jackets, sophisticated blazers, and tailored pants. But extravagance was soon to follow, trading ankle-hugging trousers for full skirts and voluminous dresses in bright tulles illuminated by the reflective sheen of their embroidery.
The palette of the collection ranged between playful pinks and midnight blues, with pastel silk dresses delivering a 90s nostalgia and deep V-necks a timeless elegance. And as anticipated, the accessories of Armani’s Pétillant were hard to miss. Long teardrop earrings and 20s headpieces gleamed in the light of the runway, sparkling above layered necklaces and beaded bracelets.
Armani’s woman is a radiant, powerful beauty. But above all, she is classic. The collection’s whimsical frivolity celebrates her feminine energy with all the staples of the brand’s historic past. And with that, Giorgio Armani certainly delivered.
Among celebrity guests at Tuesday’s show were Maude Apatow, Zoey Deutch, and Hayley Atwell.
