This Paris Fashion Week, Clare Waight Keller delivered her second ready-to-wear collection as creative director of Givenchy. For her FW18 show, she presented a joint women’s and men’s collection, an enlightened decision considering that Keller is still rather new to designing menswear.

Embracing a dark palette, the collection felt most appropriate as evening attire. Keller’s strength as a designer is displayed most in the abundance of coats, each crafted with their own unique flair and texture. The faux furs this season all differed in shape and color, with some belted and others oversized. Using leather as a base for a majority of the collection, Keller constructed sleek floor-length coats and classic jackets and in a cohesive gesture, she used the timeless fabrics to construct vibrantly saturated leather pants and suits that weren't overly fitted.

The platform designer Clare Waight Keller has inherited at Givenchy is helmed by an archive that has established a certain level and standard for excellence. Remaining true to her innate intuition and aesthetic, Keller produced two very distinct collections, optimistically pushing the brand in a new direction. A refreshing direction, with an exciting future of an even more sleek, chic Givenchy. Click through to see the collection in full.
