For her third Givenchy runway show, Sarah Burton presented a portrait of women’s strength today.
Burton’s F/W 26 RTW collection rests on three pillars: cut, tailoring, and silhouette. After establishing these foundations upon arriving at the house, she revisited them from another angle, using them to capture the creative exchange between the atelier that constructs the garments and the woman who ultimately wears them.

Themes drawn from Northern European Old Master paintings and sculpture ran throughout the collection. Draped duchesse satin capes, shredded floral evening dresses, and headpieces by Stephen Jones each suggested different facets of what it means to be a woman today.
Moving from strict sartorial precision to draping that feels sensual and free, the collection allows Givenchy to act as a multifaceted mirror of the complexities women navigate.
