After stepping into the role of Creative Director for Maison Margiela in January, Glenn Martens is now set to showcase his first collection at the helm of the French fashion house during Autumn/Winter 2025 Paris Haute Couture Week in July.

After the departure of John Galliano earlier this year, this will be Martens’ determining collection. The Maison Margiela Artisanal collections have been a part of the brand’s calendar since Spring/Summer 2006 as a member of the Chambre Syndicale de la Haute Couture. In 2012, Maison Margiela was officially named as a Haute Couture house.

Martens remains the Creative Director of Italian label Diesel, a brand that similarly experiments with tailoring and deconstruction like Maison Margiela. He is also the former CD of the now-shuttered Y/Project, a brand he led for 11 years. Y/Project is where Martens first began his journey as a CD and began to hone his avant-garde approach to minimalistic fashion.
