Global Pop Star, Songwriter and Now the Face of Valentino

SUGA of global icon BTS has been picked as Valentino’s latest brand ambassador

 

Valentino is starting 2023 off strong with the announcement of their latest brand ambassador: SUGA of BTS. Selected by the Maison in its pursuits of authenticity and individuality, the KPOP icon directly embodies the values of the house, making him the ideal ambassador. During his time in the mega successful group BTS, SUGA has blazed his own path as a rapper, songwriter, producer and performer, all while conveying values of change and spontaneity — all messages synonymous with Valentino. 

Creative director Pierpaolo Piccioli spoke to SUGA’s alignment with the brand, sharing that “[SUGA] perfectly embodies everything that DI.VAs testimonials stand for: diversity, inclusivity, creativity and passion.” The wordplay DIVas, an acronym standing for Different Values, denotes various principles of a specific brand. Valentino’s include empathy, intelligence and romance, all of which the KPOP star has exemplified in his career.

SUGA, who has also been slated as the face of the Maison Valentino Essentials campaign, spoke highly of the house’s commitment to diversity. “All individuals have different dreams and values. Maison Valentino and Creative Director Pierpaolo Piccioli have been supportive of diversity which is something that I also believe in.” The Maison Valentino Essentials campaign provides an edit of pieces carefully picked from Valentino collections, streamlined to their essence and organized into a curated system. 


Maison Valentino Essentials will be available from January 11 to January 39 at the Maxfield pop-up in LA and online on Valentino.com.
