GmbH Releases Spring 2022 Menswear Collection

The Berlin-based fashion collective releases a new collection that has just about everything

After just five years after the brand’s inception, GmbH has released a collection that encapsulates both utilitarian-inspired looks with glamor. In a runway presentation titled “White Noise” and directed by Matt Lambert, creative directors Serhat Işık and Benjamin A. Huseby slowly turn up the glam and chic vibes until the end of the show is filled with ostrich feathers.

With music by LABOUR, the video begins with baroque-like piano playing as blurred film becomes clear. The first look is an army green, to-the-knee jacket with brown borders and a wrap-around over the chest and arms, white shorts, and shiny black knee-high boots.

A standout look consisted of a “Free Palestine” tank top with the text printed on an orange and leaves that spell out “Palestine,” camel pants, and black boots.

Other looks consisted of orange-brown pants, camel button-downs, and white cargo pants, until switching to denim and lighter colored looks with the music changing to strange squeaky sounds until settling into chill dance music. Jeans with stitching around the crotch and rear elevate any garment it’s paired with.

Another standout look consisted of all lavender garments. A lavender trench coat, pants, button-down, and white shoes looks like it came from a monochromatic fantasy world.

The show then ends with ostrich feather pieces and buckles and straps for a more fun tone. A collection with one political piece and dozens of fun and challenging looks, GmbH provided fashion lovers everything we wanted and didn’t know we needed.
