Following the release of the Gorillaz newest album Song Machine, Season One: Strange Timez and the band’s collaboration with Fred Perry, they have now created their own clothing line called G FOOT.

The band was founded in 1998 by Blur’s Damon Albarn and artist Jamie Hewlett with animated characters who go by the names of 2-D (singer), Murdoc Niccals (bassist), Noodle (drummer), and Russel Hobbs (lead guitar). The Gorillaz have explored sounds such as hip-hop, electronic music, and world music creating a discography that no other band can seem to mimic.

It’s no surprise that the heavily visual and creative band’s visual artist and co-creator Jamie Hewlett designed G FOOT’s apparel under the creative direction of producer and drummer Remi Kabaka. The 12 piece capsule takes inspiration from the band’s iconic style which includes Noodle’s reversible gold satin jacket and Murdoc’s quilted embroidered bomber jacket, Russel Hobbs’ crane print kimono and 2D’s oversized hockey jersey.

The collection consists of hoodies, t-shirts, a kimono, and sweatpants adorned with Gorillaz illustrations including G FOOT’s gorilla palm print. For example, Murdoc’s Kingpin shirt is a black bowling shirt with white only on the upper half of the shirt and a black collar with a white gorilla palm print on it. Another piece is a baseball shirt with one half covered in the signature palm print and the other half just solid black with the number 23 on it.
