Gear up, festival lovers: Governors Ball is coming back this year to celebrate its 10th anniversary from September 24-26 with an astounding lineup. Over 60 acts are slated to perform throughout the weekend, including Billie Eilish, Megan Thee Stallion, Post Malone, A$AP Rocky, J Balvin, Phoebe Bridgers, King Princess, DaBaby, Young Thug, 21 Savage, 100 gecs, Orville Peck, Princess Nokia, Ellie Goulding, and more.

This year, the much-anticipated New York City festival will take place at the Citi Field complex in Queens, shifting from its usual Randall’s Island Park location. According to organizers, the new venue will be easily accessible via subway, LIRR, and car, and only 14 minutes away from Penn Station. The new structure was also projected to avoid sound bleed and long walks between stages.

“Building a recovery for all of us means reconnecting with the iconic events that make New York City the greatest travel destination in the world,” New York Mayor Bill de Blasio said in a press statement. “As more New Yorkers become vaccinated by the day, we’re proud to support arts and culture and welcome back Governors Ball and their fantastic lineup, including New York City’s own Princess Nokia, A$AP Rocky, and King Princess, among others.”

According to the festival’s FAQ page, they will be adapting their Covid-19 requirements as health guidelines change over the next few months. “Rest assured that we are working closely with the City, and we will follow ALL state and federal health guidelines provided,” it reads. 

Refunds and rolling over options will be available if the 2021 Governors Ball is canceled or rescheduled, and 2020 ticket holders can transfer their credentials to be used at this year’s festival. 

The 2020 Governors Ball was originally scheduled for June with performances from Miley Cyrus, Tame Impala, Vampire Weekend, Stevie Nicks, Missy Elliot, Solange, and more – Ellie Goulding, Portugal. The Man, and Carly Rae Jepsen are some of the few names returning in this year’s lineup.
