For Spring/Summer 2025, the house is repurposing the familiar into something entirely new.

The campaign plays with duality: innocence vs. experience, softness vs. structure, past vs. present. ‘Duets’ captures a dreamlike moment, where the cast, including Liu Haocun, Kayije Kagame, Sunday Rose Kidman Urban, Joey King, Lena Mantler, and Eliot Sumner, feel less like models and more like characters in a story. There’s an ease in how they wear the clothes, chemises slipping off the shoulders, shirts twisted into new forms, sweaters doubling as bustiers. The message is clear, don’t overthink it, just wear it.

But don’t be fooled by the alleged simplicity. This is Miu Miu, after all. Sweet, white cotton dresses are subverted with clunky studded clogs, faded florals are offset by sharp, uniform-like tailoring, and what looks like a delicate nylon slip is actually technical silk. The collection keeps one foot in nostalgia and the other in reality, with clothes that feel lived-in, effortless, but never too precious.

The Petit Bateau collaboration takes this idea even further, blending childlike naivety with high fashion. Pieces that evoke the simplicity of childhood are key, but refurbished in such a way that the lines between casual and couture are blurred and turned into something more mature and adult.

And then there are the accessories, because Miu Miu doesn’t just build wardrobes, it creates trends, crafts an aesthetic and ultimately creates obsessions. The Aventure and Arcadie bags exude quiet luxury, while the chunky Mary Janes and new show sneakers add the right amount of contradiction.

‘Duets’ is a reflection of that in-between stage. Now, getting dressed isn’t just routine, it’s a quiet act of self-definition.
