Gucci Dashes Through Winter with New Aprés Ski Collection

The Italian fashion house is hitting the slopes with its new collection.

Gucci has just released a new campaign showcasing their latest collection of winter wear called Après-Ski. The new winter collection is gear designed for everything from the mountain tops to leisure and beyond.

The new Après-Ski collection draws from the easygoing allure of winter getaways like ski resorts and wilderness excursions while offering Gucci’s vision of a travel-minded lifestyle and continuing the strand of surprise that is signature to all of its collections.

Gucci Après-Ski

Gucci Après-Ski encompasses the duality of sportier and refined aesthetics often seen both on and off the slopes, showcased in an assortment of skiwear-inspired coordinated sets. As we can see in the tailored puffer jackets, high fashion work boots, and what seems to be Gucci’s take on an Ugg boot.

Also included in the collection are updated iterations of signature handbag lines, including the Gucci Horsebit 1955, Gucci Diana, and GG Marmont, numerous versions of winter coats inspired by cold-weather outerwear, and ski mask silhouettes from Gucci Eyewear, among other styles.

Part of the surprises of this campaign is the introduction of a special preview of ready-to-wear and accessories from a forthcoming chapter of the Adidas x Gucci collaboration and a set of aluminum hard-sided trolleys, created in collaboration with the Italian luxury luggage maker FPM Milano.

To launch this new collection, Gucci enlisted the help of Mark Peckmezian to create still images and Akinola Davies Jr. to create a film following a cast of characters as they embark on an alpine escape. The friends unwind against the backdrop of scenic peaks and charming chalets within a retro-tinged film and imagery that embody the cozy conviviality of the offering.
