GUCCI RELEASES ROMANTIC CAPSULE COLLECTION
GUCCI’S GOT YOUR BACK THIS VALENTINE’S DAY WITH A SELECTION OF HEART-FILLED ACCESSORIES
The Italian fashion house pulled out all it’s tips and tricks ahead of Valentine’s Day delivering a heart-shaped drop of bags, jewelry, makeup and homeware to gift yourself or your special someone. From their nifty monogrammed cardholders and mini shoulder bags to enameled rings and silk scarfs, Gucci emblazoned a few of it’s classic pieces with the most recognizable love motif. A new House Heart symbol takes center stage. The perfect accoutrements to show yourself and others a little love.
Embraced by a romantic line of accessories, the unofficial holiday is also animated by the luxury brand’s Beauty collections. Fragrance aficionados will want to indulge in the Gucci Guilty Love Edition perfume, while makeup lovers can relish in the Goldie Red lipstick. Rosy shades paint Freesia candles and tiger head incense burner, and pieces from Gucci’s Beloved lines including the Jackie bag come in pink and red leather.
Gucci’s creative director Alessandro Michele partnered with legendary Los Angeles-based rock photographer Brad Elterman to capture the heart-filled collection. Through a lens of mischief and wit–inspired by Cupid, the cheeky imp of love–Elterman documents the brand’s latest capsule collection amidst eclectic characters relishing in the vast spectrum of love. The final deliverables taking form as Gucci Love, Love & Love zine showcase love in all its forms alongside Elterman’s other recent works and against an LA backdrop, providing a whimsical glimpse into Michele’s views on love and beauty.
Equipped with his camera and flash, Elterman infuses an element of spontaneity and candidness with the publication, reminiscent of the work he produced infiltrating the world of rock ‘n’ roll as a teenager. Since 2014, the photographer has been circulating the limited edition Fanzine to share his work–featuring the likes fashion icons, muses and rock royalty such as, Bob Dylan, Joan Jett, and Kiss.
The last twelve months saw the seventies make a come-back in the fashion-sphere. Michele and Elterman take this embrace to the next level with an edit that bares resemblance to the publications that immortalized the era’s subculture.
The collection is available for online purchase here.
