Today, Gucci has officially revealed that its spring 2019 collection will be unveiled at Théâtre Le Palace in Paris on September 24. According to the brand, this is the location's first time hosting a runway show.

Creative director Alessandro Michele's infatuation with France was first manifested through Gucci's pre-fall campaign, which was inspired by French Nouvelle Vague imagery. The campaign was followed by a cruise 2019 show in Arles. The presentation at Théâtre Le Palace marks the final chapter in Michele's tribute to the country.

Located at 8 Rue du Faubourg-Montmartre, the venue previously functioned as a nightclub, serving as something of an underground cultural hub. “The Théâtre Le Palace resonates with the vision of the house as it is a venue that gave life to a (sub)culture that has inspired young generations up until today,” representatives from Gucci said in a statement.

Fingers crossed that this will be Michele's greatest subcultural homage yet.
