GUESS Originals x PLEASURES is An Ode To The Original ’90s Drew Barrymore Campaign From ‘93

Guess is teaming up with LA-based streetwear brand PLEASURES to create a 36-piece capsule collection for men and women. Shot by Wayne Maser, the collection is an ode to the iconic 1993 Guess Campaign featuring Drew Barrymore. 

PLEASURES is a rising fashion label known for its grungy, punk, metal-influenced aesthetic reminiscent of a slew of underground American subcultures from the ’90s. The fashion label, founded by Alex James and Vlad Elkin in 2015, has previously collaborated with Guess for other campaigns as well as other fashion labels throughout the world. 

The GUESS Originals x PLEASURES capsule collection primarily draws its influence from a campaign in 1993 which featured “wild child” Drew Barrymore. It currently posits as the brand’s most iconic piece of work to date. Building on that, this new, revamped collection will feature denim pieces from never-before-seen shots of Barrymore for GUESS.

“There has been such an overwhelming number of people who mention her ‘93 campaign when they discuss GUESS’s most memorable work. In comparison to other legacy models we have worked with in the past, the time period of Drew’s career felt like the perfect unexpected moment of nostalgia to introduce to a new generation of GUESS fans,” says Director of Brand Partnerships at GUESS, Nicolai Marciano. 

And in true ’90s fashion, the collection will introduce pieces that feature polka dots, and a “reintroduced” denim jacket set and sweatsuit from the vintage Drew Barrymore images.

The women’s collection includes a selection of baby tees, rib tank tops, an oversized tee, and hoodie along with a jacket and pant denim set which is made with a heavy enzyme wash, creating a vintage feel in the denim. It will range from $34 -$108. You will also be able to spice up your 90’s inspired look with accessories such as hats, totes, socks, and sunglasses which will range from $12 -$78. 

For men, there will be a range of hoodies, crew neck and joggers sets, button-downs, T-shirts, and underwear available in red, white, and black colors, that range from $22 – $128.

The GUESS Originals x PLEASURES collection will be sold at select GUESS stores,  guess.com and Urban Outfitters starting February 16th. In the meantime, check out some of the looks below:
