Haider Ackerman’s latest release for Snow Goose by Canada Goose comes sheathed in wind-resistant nylon, embroidered jersey, and the occasional zip-off pant leg. In the second installment of his collaboration with the luxury outerwear brand, Ackermann, who currently serves as creative director, continues to blur the lines between all-weather gear and the roles we play in the environment in which we wear them.

Ackermann, who has long conjured garments both grounded and hallucinatory, approaches this collection as a sort of anthropologist of movement. This season’s pieces, ranging from the oversized Zenith Tee to the convertible Vapor Pant, suggest a wardrobe for a nomadic philosopher. In essence, the Snow Goose collection presents itself as a sartorial toolkit for facing the world, so that wearers feel equally at home traversing alpine ridgelines or urban scaffolding.

Capsule highlights include the Zephyr Jacket (a featherweight windbreaker engineered with vented underarms and seam-sealed protection), the Tempest Shorts (cut in a matching three-layer technical fabric), and the Solstice Vest (a riff on Canada Goose’s HyBridge® DNA reimagined for the warmer months by merging puffed volume with utilitarian restraint). Very stocked on style and stoked with spirit.

Ackermann’s influence is most tangible in pieces like the Pulse Long Sleeve Jersey, a close-fitting top adorned with a collage of graphics evocative of both street and dreamscape. The mock neck and zippered front lend a sportswear sensibility, while its layering of visual references invoke the metaphysical, and while the Snow Goose capsule leans into adventure aesthetics, it avoids the hyper-aggression often associated with tactical design.

One only needs to glimpse the Valour Parka, inspired by traditional workwear and evidently ready for shifting seasons both literal and emotional. The Vapor Pant, convertible by way of a discreet zip, a cheeky nod to the traveler’s perpetual need to adapt.

The collection also arrives in the shadow of Canada Goose’s broader FW25 launch, which includes updated bombers, fleeces, and transitional layers aimed at the back-to-school market, but while the mainline offerings ground the brand in its performance heritage, the Snow Goose capsule takes a bit more of a conceptual risk; less of what outerwear should be, and a little more of what it could be.
