Halpern Salutes Frontline Workers With Spring/Summer 2021 Collection

The designer showcased his new collection with a video highlighting frontline heroines

Michael Halpern and the Halpern brand are using this year’s fashion month to pay tribute. This year, the designer released a video highlighting some of the women who have been working at the frontlines during the pandemic as a way to showcase his new collection.

The video tribute premiered on the British Fashion Council website and features eight different women. Each of these women has been involved with frontline care and volunteer work during the pandemic. The women (Aziza, Odiri, Latifah, Ghalia, Caroline, Arianna, Sarah, and Chevonese) also spoke about their experiences during COVID and how they felt about the collection.

Halpern used the video to showcase his Spring/Summer 2021 collection which highlights the designer’s usual love for patterns, including polka dots and animal prints in a variety of colors and shimmers. The diverse cast of women in the video don shapeless outfits that feature as many gowns as there are blazers.

The designer wrote a message about the video on his social media, saying, “This season is about joy and optimism, so we made an incredible film celebrating the heroines of the front line to showcase the Halpern Spring-Summer ’21 collection. It was a great honour for me to get to meet these incredible people who have kept us moving throughout the past six months. I will be forever grateful for this experience.”
