HBO Max Set to Release Lizzo Documentary Later This Fall

It’s “About Damn Time” Lizzo Gets Her Own Documentary.

Lizzo has had quite an astounding year so far in 2022, but the three-time Grammy award winner’s not done yet. About a month ago, she hosted and sang on Saturday Night Live, becoming the first host in history to introduce themselves. That same week, she dropped Yitty, her new shapewear line, in partnership with Fabletics. As if that week wasn’t crazy enough, the superstar then joined Coachella headliner, Harry Styles onstage the next weekend to give an ecstatic, surprise performance.

During the Warner Bros. Discovery Upfront presentation at New York City’s Madison Square Garden yesterday, Lizzo announced that she is planning on releasing a documentary with HBO Max all about her road to stardom. “Growing up I never dreamed I’d get to experience all of the things I’ve accomplished in my life, and I’m just getting started. I’m so excited I get to share and relive my journey with my fans and HBO Max,” the singer said in a statement. The singer, rapper, and flautist plans on sharing intimate moments that have all led to her sudden rise to fame. The untitled documentary is set to be released later this fall.

“It takes ten years to become an ‘overnight success,’ and hopefully I can inspire other young creatives to keep going.” -Lizzo
