HBO’s “Sleaziest Love Story Of All Time,” The Idol, with Lily Rose Depp and The Weeknd

A new drama series expels on a story of a young Lily Rose Depp (Jocelyn) and her dingy romance with a self help guru slash underground cult leader (The Weeknd).

Straight from the gutters of Hollywood, HBO drops their latest teaser for their upcoming drama, The Idol, set to debut this fall. Created by the infamously controversial Euphoria director, Sam Levinson and Reza Fahim (creative producer for The Weeknd), the series trailer exudes hints of inadmissible sexuality and mimics a dark cult like embodiment to all corners of the screen. Debuted at The Weeknd’s Saturday concert at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, the series will escort us into the dire maze encapsulating the Hollywood music industry.

Diving head first into the dingy entanglement of rising pop star Jocelyn (Lily Rose Depp) and The Weeknd, The Idol takes us through a whirlwind of strobing graphics and of course, sex. Prompting The Weeknd’s or Abel Tesfaye first acting debut, the drama expels a story of young Jocelyn’s ominous romance with a self proclaimed self help guru slash underground cult leader.

The series features a star studded lineup of inadmissible Hollywood figures (fitting bc this is all very new wave media scene) such as Dan Levy, Rachel Sennott, Eli Roth, Anne Heche, Troye Sivan, Hank Azaria, and V’s latest edition (V138) cover star Lisa from the chart – monopolizing K-pop phenomenon group, BLACKPINK.
