Prior to the release of two new Elton John tribute albums, a very close friend of the icon, Lady Gaga, has shared her contribution to the set. The superstar took on one of John's premier classics, "Your Song", and didn't stray too far from what made the song so beloved. She adopts a heartfelt and slightly theatrical approach, letting her stunning vocals build and build atop the ever-familiar piano instrumentation, keeping the heart and soul of the 1970 song intact.

John opened up about Gaga's rendition in an interview with BBC Radio 1, stating that he called Gaga himself and asked him to cover the song. Gaga proudly shouted out the song on Twitter last night, calling it "one of the greatest songs of all time." Her cover  is just one of several contributions from today's most prominent musicians on the tribute albums. Her rendition is apart on Revamp, which also features Miley Cyrus, Sam Smith, and John himself. Its counterpart Restoration features country artists like Kacey Musgraves and Maren Morris putting a Nashville twist on his classics.

Gaga will perform the song live during I'm Still Standing, the star-studded Grammy tribute to John set to air on April 10. Listen to her beautiful rendition below.
