The British Fashion Awards is an annual event that honors talents from around the world for their efforts in the fashion industry throughout the year. The 2020 Fashion Awards is incorporating twenty progressive, leading brands and personnel in a short film that honors their efforts as well as the fashion industry as a whole in the past year.

The Awards will especially focus on those who persevered amidst the pandemic, producing creative work and fighting for change in the industry as the world was in lockdown. The widespread exposure of and action against racial injustice against all industries this year shed further light on the systematic issues of the fashion industry, and we hope the BFAs will honor designers and creatives who truly took a stand against these injustices, those who are working to the make the industry truly inclusive of everyone.

The twenty honorees will be recognized for their efforts as they fall into four different categories: which are Environment, Community, People, and Creativity. The honorees this year include musician Rosalía, British racing driver Lewis Hamilton, writer and stylist Aja Barber, and many more.

The British Fashion Awards will also honor 50 New Wave: Creatives, young, rising talents making a difference in the industry. You can learn more about these creatives here, and stick around to watch the digital premiere of the 2020 Fashion Awards below.
