The 65th Grammy Awards Ceremony has been a parade of firsts! Held on Sunday February 5th at the Cripto.com Arena in Los Angeles, the show brought together music legends to celebrate the biggest achievements of the year. Among those who joined the festivity, there were icons Beyoncé, Kendrick Lamar, Adele, Lizzo, and Harry Styles.

With her 9 nominations, Queen B made Grammy history. She not only tied with her husband Jay-Z as the most nominated artist of all time (both with 88 nominations), but she also became the artist with the most Grammy Awards. Surpassing Georg Solti, the late Hungarian-born classical conductor, Beyoncé has officially become a 32-times Grammy winner.

Our medley of first-timers continues with Sam Smith and Kim Petra, who won the award for Best Pop/Duo Group Performance for their “Unholy,” and saw Petras become the first transgender woman to win the title. Finally, Puerto Rican star Bad Bunny, who won the Best Musica Urbana Album Award with Un Verano Sin Ti, became the first artist with a Spanish-language album nominated in the Album of The Year category.
