Hermès Beauty Released A New Lipstick Range
Dubbed Rouge Hermès, the new collection is everything we have ever dreamed of.
After years of crafting and selling perfumes and colognes that have gathered a cult following, Hermès Beauty is coming out with Rouge Hermès — a collection of 14 satin and 10 matte lipsticks that are nothing short of a kaleidoscopic dream for makeup enthusiast the world over. The chosen lipstick colors were pulled from the brand’s archive of 76,000 silk and leather shades, all wearable and intensely craveable — including the House’s signature orange hue Rouge Orange.
All lipsticks from the newest Hermès Beauty range have brilliant pigmentation and textures, delivering an opaque payoff without feeling too drying. “I think of our make-up textures resonating with the house’s other materials like an interplay of analogies, a natural extension of Hermès on bare skin,” explained Jérôme Touron, creative director for Hermès Beauty. “For the textures of our lipsticks, I immediately thought of leather, for the pleasure and sensation of comfort it gives me and the look and feel of its different finishes.”
In addition to colored lipsticks, the collection also includes a clear Lip Care Balm, Poppy Lip Shine, Universal Lip Pencil and a chic Lip Brush. All products were made with sustainability in mind, with refillable outer cases and reduced plastic use. Move over, Birkin bags and iconic scarves — Rouge Hermès is here to redefine luxury.
