The summer scaries are real, and the impending procession from sunnier months to darker, drearier ones marches on ruthlessly. Combating the earlier dusks and lower temperatures can be made all the more easier with Hermès Beauty’s newest limited edition collection, an ode to the seasonal transitions about to commence. The line includes a trio of Rouge Hermès lipsticks, an Ombres d’Hermès palette, and a duo of Les Mains Hermès nail enamels.

At centerstage, Rouge Hermès, the brand’s lipstick collection, introduces three new shades of autumnal allure. Beige Glacé, the subtlest of hues, illuminates the lips in a sheer swatch of color with a transparent finish, and Beige Doblis, the collection’s matte lipstick, gives lips a warm and velvety look. Rouge Nappa, the darker of the three shades, creates a “‘bitten lip’ effect,” as explained by Gregoris Pyrpylis, Creative Director of Hermès Beauty. The subtle undertones and deep reds of the line establish each lipstick as the facilitator of a gentle transition into the colder seasons. Each stick is encased in an ultra-matte finish box, an imitation of velvety leather, and sheathed in a trio of colors imagined by Pierre Hardy, the creator of Hermès Beauty objects.

The second act of Hermès Beauty’s showcase is the Ombres d’Hermès palette, a quartet of eyeshadows that combines matte, satin and shimmer finishes. A powdery imitation of the leather tanning process, each shadow builds and elevates the other to create a harmonious palette of sun-kissed brown, soft khaki, lustrous gold and cobalt blue. Each shade, complementary to the natural color wheel of the iris, can be used to intensify and add depth to the eyes. The palette also contains a lacquered applicator for easy and precise use.

Les Mains Hermès, the collection’s final spectacle, is a duo of nail enamels inspired by the colors of Hermès leather. Vert Bronze, a deep khaki with gray undertones, is a versatile hue, complementary to any outfit and accent accessory. Its counterpart, an intense, mineral blue titled Bleu Agate, is a stormy companion. According to Pyrpylis, when worn, “the two shades bring the same intensity and can even be juxtaposed.” And as an added perk for strong, healthy nails, over 70% of the polish’s formula is composed of ingredients from natural origin.
