Self-care is something that should be implemented into your routine year-round. Yet it’s more important than ever to take care of your physical and mental health during the cold season: get cozy, make yourself feel comfortable and take note of your current feelings and needs.
While very rewarding, holidays can, in a way, also feel a little too stressful. To keep the winter blues at bay, here we have a few ideas for you for things that will hopefully make you feel a little more comfortable and refreshed even around the busy holiday time.
BOOK A BATH EXPERIENCE
Escape the hustle and bustle in the calm and comfort of thermal baths. Whether you’re going for an ice plunge, a flotarium (seawater pool) or a steam room, the environment is sure to make you feel more in tune with yourself.
MAKE USE OF ESSENTIAL OILS
Capable of calming nerves, boosting energy and helping with focus; use them when you feel like the times are getting a bit too stressful for your liking.
DO A SPA+SKI RETREAT
Get away from your daily routine, get some exercise and the much-needed rest all at once. After taking such an active yet restful escape to the winter wonderland, you will be all set to go into the new year.
MOISTURIZE & HYDRATE
Do your facemask, but don’t forget to also hydrate from the inside out. While you might feel like you don’t need nearly as much water during the winter season, don’t forget to drink your eight glasses a day.
MAKE TIME TO GET COZY
For when you want to stay in the comfort of your home — light the candle, pour some wine and enjoy.
