House of Dior New York and Beverly Hills Unveil Window Displays

Sculptor Alex Chinneck‘s whimsical designs reflect the vibrancy of the two cities
Chinneck is a British sculptor known for his playful installations that reflect geographic regions. House of Dior Beverly Hills received five works, while the New York location received nine. Described in a statement from the House as “veritable visual poems,” the displays celebrate Dior’s rich history in the United States—its first Fifth Avenue store was established in 1948.

At House of Dior New York, located at the corner of 57th Street and Madison Avenue, Chinneck interprets the city’s classic symbols through a surrealist lens. Clocks and traffic lights are rendered in the artist’s signature style, and a taxi cab descends from the ceiling. In Los Angeles, ornamental street lamps and dreamlike interpretations of cars come to life.
“These delightfully whimsical renderings of urban elements are gathered in bouquets, tangled up or bent into bows to evoke couture ribbons, threads and drapery,” the House said in a statement.

Both House of Dior New York and House of Dior Beverly Hills were designed by architect Peter Marino. The spaces opened in August 2025 and November 2025 respectively. Chinneck’s installations further ground the boutiques within their regions, bringing a sense of whimsy to Dior’s iconic window displays.
