Huddy Drops Surprise Single, “All The Things I Hate About You”

Between pop-punk beats, the emotional ballad documents the “worst heartbreak of his life.”

“The biggest lesson I’ve learned about music and songwriting is you need to pour your heart into it or it’s not worth doing,” Huddy shares about his latest release, “All the Things I Hate About You.” Featuring electrifying riffs and head-banging choruses, the song sees Huddy purging all remnants of his ex. As the three-minute track gets into his emotionally-charged breakup and its painful aftermath, it already has fans speculating about who it could be about.

“I was heartbroken when I made “All the Things I Hate About You” and it was therapeutic for me to go into the studio and put everything I was feeling into my music and this song,” he explains. And as the song was an important cathartic experience for the artist, he also hopes his message will help others reeling from painful experiences. “I created this for everyone who has ever felt heartbroken or betrayed. It’s inspired by my life but meant for everyone who can relate to the song and hopefully finds a way to help them.”

With the single’s release, the 20-year-old expands on his already burgeoning music career, taking risks and experimenting with more mature themes. This single marks the singer’s first release since he released his debut album, Teenage Heartbreak–which first introduced his unique pock-punk sound to the generation. In 2021, his top songs (“21st Century Vampire,” “The Eulogy of You and Me,” and “America’s Sweetheart”) have earned upwards of 10 million streams combined and proves his influence resides well beyond TikTok.

In a week, the singer is set to embark on his first tour. Accompanying Oliver Tree on his Cowboy Tears: One Last Ride tour, Huddy is set to play both fan-favorites and new music. The tour kicks off August 4th in San Diego, CA and runs through October 1st in Santa, Cruz, CA. For more details on tour dates, click here.
