IDK’s New Single Drops With Cinematic Visuals
Wasting no time since his album Simple. dropped earlier this year, rapper IDK releases “Monsieur Dior” with accompanying music video
Maryland rapper IDK may be on tour with Pusha T this month, travelling Europe while sharing the beats of his newest releases, but hallmarks of the artist’s whirlwind year aren’t coming to a halt just yet. Only 6 months after the release of his album Simple., a collaborative project with producer Kaytranada, IDK announces rhythmic single “Monsieur Dior”, an upbeat union of the rapper’s effortless sonics with a breezy sample from French jazz band Cortex’s “Huit Octobre 1971”.
The music video for “Monsieur Dior” is nothing short of cinematic. A black-and-white documentation of a Paris Dior show and Howard University’s Homecoming in Washington, D.C. the camera captures the journey of IDK’s tour bus across Ohio, Texas, and New Mexico. To close, a tribute to the late MF DOOM flashes onscreen.
