IKEA has launched a second drop of their critically acclaimed “Nytillverkad” collection for their 80th anniversary. The collection pays tribute to the striking aesthetics of the 70s and 80s while also maintaining a contemporary feel in line with IKEA’s functionality and simplicity. Encapsulating the essence and vibes that are notably tied to the late 70s and early 80s, the collection utilizes the usage of vibrant and playful colors in a palette consisting of orange, red, and pink. This new release features statement furniture pieces to add to one’s space or even for a subtle bold pop that blends well in any ambiance.

With the pieces boasting designs and patterns conceptualized by renowned designers, Niels Gammelgaard, Bent Gantzel-Boysen, Sven Fristedt, and Inez Svensson, their eye-catching designs can be seen in various items such as the SKÅLBODA armchair (Gammelgaard), which was a revamp of Gammelgaard’s previous JÄRPEN armchair designed for IKEA in the 80s; and the reintroduction of patterns such as SVEDJENÄVA (Sven Fristedt) and NICKFIBBLA (Inez Svensson) seen all over the collection in its abstract boldness.

Make sure to check out the continuation of the Nytillverkad collection dropping in October 2023, available online and in IKEA stores!
