In Demand: Giuseppe Zanotti Talon Sneaker
Integrating wildlife into urban streetwear culture.
Launching today is Giuseppe Zanotti’s newest take on old-school basketball sneaker: the Talon — a leather and tech high-top with a distinct eagle claw rubber sole. Drawing inspiration from the majestic lightness of the eagle and the street style culture, the newest entrant in the Giuseppe Zanotti sneakerverse subvert the classic and brings fresh energy to the brand’s shoe line.
“Sneakers are an obsession of mine,” says Giuseppe Zanotti. “They have become a form of self-expression so with the Talon I really wanted to create a sneaker that felt nostalgic and contemporary; understated but also powerful.”
Crafted from smooth leather and a durable tech fabric, the clean-lined high-top boasts super lightweight construction along with a latex insole for added comfort and extra height. Channeling bustling metropolises and contemporary urban environments, the Talon sneaker has received a monochromatic logo treatment along with a special cut-out design. At once punk, incisive and distinct, the sneaker conveys a new sense of freedom while communicating a sense of power and strength.
Previewed during Milan Men’s Fashion Week in January, the high-top will be available starting February on giuseppezanotti.com as well at the Giuseppe Zanotti flagship stores and select retailers worldwide. The shoe will retail for $850 for all black, all white, red, khaki and pink colorways and $1150 for the two limited-edition croc-embossed leather models.
