Actor, writer, director, musician, and overall polymathic creative juggernaut, Donald Glover has long moved between genre-blending projects with ease—from the critically acclaimed surreal dark comedy Atlanta to his musical persona, Childish Gambino. Now, fresh off his final album as Gambino (Bando Stone & The New World), the multi-hyphenate artist brings that same brilliance to fashion with a new Moncler x Gilga Farm outdoor collection, designed by Glover himself and inspired by Gilga Farm, his creative hub and operational farm in Ojai, California.
“Functionality is key, it’s something that connects the world of Gilga and Moncler, we both create for real-world usefulness,” Glover said in an official statement about his debut Genius collection. “The sleeping bag is one of the first products Moncler ever made, which inspired our sleeping bag jacket, but also led to a collection of summer fits grounded in real value.”

Founded in 2023, Gilga Farm is an operational farm and ideation sanctuary where creatives can gather organically and sow new ideas. The mantra? “The world revolves around your usefulness. Use that to move into what you are.” The clothes in the collection speak to that philosophy: a lifestyle shaped by curiosity, community, and comfort, all grounded in beauty through utility.
Featuring trans-seasonal layers in a sun-washed palette of peach, meringue, rust orange, and deep blues, the collection ranges from lightweight windbreakers and oversized puffers to cream-toned jackets paired with shorts. Additionally, elements like cozy trim collars, utilitarian quilting, and sherpa hats are balanced by playful contrasts such as glossy nylon, wool-blend knits, and embroidered cartoon patches. One standout look, a quilted, ankle-grazing puffer in electric citrus, nods to Moncler’s mountain ancestry with a distinctly Southern California twist.

Lastly, for accessories, a sherpa-lined baseball cap, rugged fisherman-style sandals worn with ribbed socks, and a wide-brimmed sun hat all reflect a wardrobe designed for a creative, off-the-grid lifestyle. Even Moncler’s iconic Trailgrip Vela sandal is reinterpreted in off-white leather and cotton ribbon, accented by a soft pink Vibram sole.
Throughout the drop, Monduck—Moncler’s iconic mascot—returns in farmer form, appearing across the graphics splashed throughout the collection. Tying it all together is the orange, Gilga Farm’s signature emblem, appearing throughout as the logo, in the citrus palette, and subtly interwoven into fabrics that incorporate small amounts of orange fiber.
