Introducing Expensive and Low Key.

Most people have long stocked dry shampoo and mousse in their bathrooms—but heat protectant, overnight stylers, and new forms of shampoo are starting to make their way into the mainstream. IGK, a high-performance haircare line, has been releasing products conducive to this change for a while now, and they just hit the mark again with their two most recent releases: Expensive, a hi-shine topcoat, and Low Key, a cleansing walnut scalp scrub.

Each of these products is meant to be used in place of a piece of your normal routine–Expensive should be used instead of conditioner 2-3 times a week, and Low Key should be used at least once a week as a replacement for your shampoo.

Expensive, billed as being a topcoat not unlike one for your nails, makes use of amla oil in order to seal in color and protect against not just heat but UV damage. It's an antioxidant deep conditioning treatment, filled with all kinds of nutrients in order to keep your hair healthy. But it does fulfill on its promise of shine as well–algae extracts in the formula keep your hair voluminous while giving it shine that rivals treatments at your favorite salon. It's a brilliant way to keep yourself looking like you've gotten your hair done recently, considering not all of us can get salon treated every few weeks.

Where Expensive is about look, Low Key is all about health. It can be tricky to get through long hair at first due to its grainy texture, but once you get the hang of it, you might like it more than your favorite shampoo. It's a sugar scrub for your scalp that uses walnut oil and apple cider vinegar to remove impurities for a healthy scalp. Feel fried because of dry shampoo, heat styling, and coloring? Let Low Key refresh and reset your scalp and hair so it can be brought back to life.
