Introducing Coach x Tom Wesselmann
Take a look at the playful new campaign featuring Hari Nef, Kai-Isaiah Jamal, and Manami Kinoshita
Here comes Coach with embellished leather and vibrant graphics—introducing Coach x Tom Wesselmann, a vibrant collaboration with the late American artist whose work exudes the joy and innovation of New York City Pop art. In celebration of both the brand and artist’s creative influence, the collection brings Wesselmann’s cheeky graphic prints to some of Coach’s signatures, like the classic handheld Rogue and 70s-inspired Duffle.
“Tom Wesselmann’s work is inspired by the extraordinary found in the everyday and the universal references that bring us together,” said Coach Creative Director Stuart Vevers, who worked alongside the artist’s family and estate during the collection’s formulation. “Sensory and joyful, our collaboration is a tribute to the sense of pleasure Tom found in the process of creating. I’m very honored to have worked with his family to bring it to life, and proud to share his work with a new generation.”
The collection features Wesselmann’s colorful graphics on Coach’s jacquard and heritage Glovetanned leather—everything from cartoonish lips and cigarettes to 50s pop art still lives.
Unsurprisingly, the campaign radiates the same bubbly atmosphere of the collection itself, featuring actress Hari Nef, model Manami Kinoshita, and activist and poet Kai Isaiah Jamal. In the promotional film, Jamal can be heard reciting an original poem inspired by Wesselmann’s work. A digital experience serves to further the campaign’s reach, featuring filters and TikToks to educate on both the collection and Wesselmann’s life.
The Coach x Tom Wesselmann collection is available to shop online, at select pop-ups, and store takeovers around the globe.
