Iris van Herpen constructed an intricate Couture FW19 collection through a hypnotic interpretation of movement and life cycles, portrayed in a video titled “Hypnotic”, created by Matthew Sperzel. The mesmerizing video captures what the designer described to WWD as an exploration into the “manifolds within our ecologies,” offering a closer look into the structural design of the pieces. 

Sperzel captured the attention to the elements of design and sophisticated detail within each garment. The use of lines, and most notably, the stainless steel framing of her final “Infinity” dress. The piece wraps the model in a halo of rotating feathers. Sperzel captured the powerful display and psychedelic detailing of the Iris Van Herpen Couture FW19 Collection.
