The Iris Van Herpen AW19 Couture collection, entitled ‘Hypnosis’, drew inspiration from the kinetic sculptures created by the American artist Anthony Howe. Provoked by the idea of a connection between spheres, the Dutch designer built and created another artistically inspired collection. She used a variety of techniques and processes for the creation of this couture collection including Japanese ink-on-water (suminagashi), hand-stitching and laser printing. Iris Van Herpen created an illusive and elegant collection for the AW19 Couture show.
