Isabel Marant Fall/Winter 2020
This fall luxury meets comfort.
Monochrome looks and geometric silhouettes dominated the runway at Isabel Marant’s Fall/Winter 2020 show. Inspired by Spanish artist Manolo Ballesteros’ work, the architectural shapes blur the lines between the male and female pieces, with broad shoulders and thin waists. The collection embraces simplicity with neutral colors for day and night, from light creams to dark grays and blues.
The padded shoulders were the highlight of the night. Models walked in minimal makeup and hair that accentuated the cuts and lines of the ruffled dresses and coats. The collection possesses an effortless fluidity, meant for any time and occasion.
There are knit sweaters matched with creased slacks and long knit dresses with wide shoulders. The contrast reminds you that luxury and comfort don’t always have to compete. Take a look below at the entire mix of shapes and proportions.
