If there was anyone who was going to convince you that the mob wife aesthetic is taking over this season, Isabel Marant is that girl. For her Fall/Winter 2024 showcase, the French designer compiled a lineup dedicated to animal prints, pops of red, and a vibrant punch of both feminine and masculine exuberance.
Clashing with the fierce gaudy motifs are subtle Western elements consisting of fringe, desert-approved silhouettes, tacked-on chunky jewels, and dusty leathers perfect for a motorcycle getaway. Lumped-up knit sweaters and dresses coated in cream dress-down tailored trousers, while frumpy leather-lined overcoats are layered over dresses to warm things up.
Suede and leather coat most of the looks, dripped over pants, jackets, footwear, and essential bags. Exaggerated shoulders accentuate the collection’s alluring dresses, vests, and zipper-adorned puffer coats, and studs make their way onto scarves, fringed jackets and pants, and statement belts to complete any look.
A combined color assortment includes earth-tones of military green, camel brown, desert beige, jet blacks, and dreamy ivory, while bold splashes, cherry red, snake print, and loud metallics play things up a bit. Accessory and footwear assortments exist in fringe and cowboy-approved boots, black and silver shark-tooth necklaces layered with silver chains, elongated crossbody bags suitable for daily adventuring, stacked bangles, and cheetah-printed tights to bring out the growl power.
Isabel Marant’s Fall/Winter 2024 collection effortlessly combines loud luxury and Western-chic to create the perfect variety of to-die-for garments to keep us on our knees, begging for more season after season.
