Balenciaga has released its winter campaign for 2023 along with the expansion of the Avenue George V location. Originally the location where Cristobal Balenciaga first opened the French couture house in 1937, the Spanish luxury brand will be using it as its new creative headquarters and Couture.
The cast of models is made up of Isabelle Huppert, Vittoria Ceretti, Minttu Vesala, Arthur del Beato, Nyawurh Chuol, Yura Nakano, and Mathieu Simoneau. Set in the under-construction Avenue George V location, this campaign pairs perfectly with the deconstructed aesthetic of the upcoming season. Models can be seen wearing tracksuits, leather jackets, and denim all with an inverted or doubled-up twist.
Additionally, the brand has introduced the 3XL Sock Shoe, the Flex Pump, the Anatomic and Biker Boot lines, and the Monaco Bag line. They have also brought back their classics in a plethora of updated styles like the Crush Sling in floral-printed leather; the Everyday Tote in fluffy fake fur; the Bulldozer Boot; and much more.
In 2021, creative director Demna presented his couture collection, symbolically serving as the first Balenciaga couture collection since 1968, in the Salons de Couture. Clearly, the success of that show inspired the expansion of this iconic address, and fashion lovers couldn’t be happier.
