ISSIMO and Aquazzura are heating up the summer with their collaborative footwear capsule collection The Perfect Sole Mates. Fused with the vision of Aquazzura Founder and Creative Director Edgardo Osorio and Marie-Louise Sciò, ISSIMO Founder and Creative Director and CEO of Pellicano Hotels, the line features a modish silk satin mule with a retro spool heel and sandal style in alike material. Its vibrant colorways bougainvillea purple, tangerine orange, and a lemony yellow that shines like the season’s rays take inspiration from Italy’s lush landscapes along the country’s coast.

“We celebrate Italian excellence on ISSIMO, and Aquazzura is amongst the greatest,” expressed Marie-Louise Sciò in a statement. “I wanted to create a collection that is elegant and fun, one that is versatile, easy to wear, and that channels beautiful Italian summers.”

Osorio shares similar sentiments about partnering with ISSIMO to release shoe styles that embrace Italy and its landscape. “ISSIMO for me it’s the modern Dolce Vita edit in a website. It’s everything that we love and is cool about Italy done with the elegant eye of Marie-Louise. I’m also a fan of Pellicano and all of the group’s hotel so when thinking a shoe for our collab I dreamed of something retro Italian-chic done in a modern way.”
