It’s A Mediterranean Summer For Dolce & Gabbana

From Sardinia to Saint Tropez, Dolce & Gabbana has transformed five of Europe’s most iconic summer destinations with its DG Resort creative takeover

Dolce & Gabbana has all the best spots for a summer getaway. Across five of Europe’s most iconic coastlines—Cala di Volpe, Le Carillon, Twiga Versilia, Casa Amor, and San Domenico Palace—the brand has installed its DG Resort creative takeover, with each property dressed in its own exclusive print, its own pop-up, and, in some cases, its own Vesta location, D&G’s reinvention of Mediterranean cuisine with a modern twist through creative combinations and premium ingredients.

Sardinia’s most iconic hotel, Hotel Cala di Volpe, has been transformed with the help of Dolce & Gabbana’s vibrant Maiolica Gialla. The yellow ceramic pattern appears on the new terraces of the Atrium Bar, on poolside cabanas, and on hand-painted vases throughout the property, letting fashion extend beyond the wardrobe and into the destination and the experience of your stay. Designed in the 1960s by French architect Jacques Couëlle to resemble an ancient fishing village, the hotel has long been a meeting place of sea, poetry, and luxury on the Costa Smeralda. A pop-up store on-site additionally carries an exclusive selection of clothing and accessories. Long favored by royalty and celebrities, Cala di Volpe remains one of the most coveted addresses on the Italian coast and a symbol of Sardinia’s allure.

In Portofino, D&G moves into Le Carillon, a landmark beach club founded in 1936 on Paraggi Bay, and dresses it in its Verde Maiolica print. White and green run throughout the entire resort, from the bar to the pop-up shop to its own Vesta Portofino. With the turquoise waters of the Gulf of Tigullio as a backdrop, the resort continues to tell a story of elegance and history while providing a unique experience that truly encapsulates la dolce vita.

D&G’s iconic banana print takes over Twiga Versilia, the Tuscan Riviera institution that has set the standard for Italian jet-set beach culture since 2001. White and deep green cover every aspect of the experience; the Banano-themed décor creates a refined tropical vibe inspired by lush vegetation, graphic effects, and 1940s poster art. The resort beautifully combines the heritage of a historic location with the energy of something new through tailored experiences in fine dining, at the beach, and in nightlife. The location offers a nightclub designed to entertain guests with unique events, the VESTA restaurant, where you can savor Italian delicacies, and a Dolce&Gabbana pop-up store presenting an exclusive selection of creations perfect for your summer.

Synonymous with luxury, worldliness, and breathtaking landscapes, St. Tropez is the crown jewel of the Côte d’Azur and an obvious choice for D&G’s resort takeover. Casa Amor, the city’s famous bohemian beach club, is located right on Pampelonne Beach and was chosen by Dolce&Gabbana to be decorated in its Carretto print. The friezes and multicolored decorations of Sicilian tradition are in perfect conversation with the warm tones of the furnishings and their natural materials, creating an unexpected but beautiful combination of cultural history and contemporary luxury.

Perched on a rocky clifftop above the Ionian Sea, San Domenico Palace is a five-star luxury hotel in Taormina, reimagined from a 14th-century convent and now home to Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts. Inspired by the traditional art of maiolica and vintage postcards of the location, Dolce & Gabbana’s Blu Mediterraneo print takes over the hotel’s pool and terrace areas, as well as the pop-up store, where an exclusive selection of apparel and accessories takes the same vintage postcard imagery as its muse. Given the brand’s Sicilian roots, there is no more fitting place to continue and expand D&G’s resort takeover.
